The Little Stranger - Sarah Waters Fingersmith, Waters' third book, may be my favorite book of all time and I also loved her two other VIctorian novels. I had high hopes for the Little Stranger, despite the fact that I though Night Watch was only ok.

I have to say I was disappointed because even though the writing was wonderful, and the characters well written, this novel just didn't have enough plot and suspense for me. I kept waiting for something to happen and every time I thought something exciting would happen it didn't last long. I really wish that Water's would return to writing her Victorian fiction, which she does so well.
